New Renault Duster Launching on March 17: Pre-Bookings Now Open
Renault India is gearing up to launch the all-new Renault Duster on March 17. One of the most iconic compact SUVs in the Indian market, the Duster is making a strong comeback with a completely refreshed design, upgraded interior, advanced features, and multiple engine options. Pre-bookings for the SUV have already begun, building anticipation ahead of its official price announcement.
The new-generation Duster aims to reclaim its position in a segment that it once helped establish. While the official pricing will be revealed at launch, the expected starting price is around Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom), with bookings open for a token amount of Rs 21,000.
Rugged and Modern Exterior
The 2026 Renault Duster features a bold and muscular design while maintaining its signature rugged appeal. The front fascia showcases a strong grille with prominent DUSTER lettering, sleek LED headlamps, and slim LED DRLs that enhance its road presence.
On the sides, the SUV gets chunky body cladding, squared-off wheel arches, and stylish 18-inch alloy wheels. Black roof rails and a silver skid plate further enhance its SUV character.
At the rear, a connected LED light bar and distinctive C-shaped tail lamps give the new Duster a modern and wider stance.
Premium and Tech-Loaded Interior
Inside, the new Duster gets a significantly upgraded cabin. The dashboard features a layered design with a dark theme, contrast stitching, and silver accents. A dual-screen setup dominates the layout, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully digital driver display.
Renault has retained physical controls for key functions such as climate control, ensuring ease of use. The seats come upholstered in leatherette, with power-adjustable and ventilated front seats. Rear passengers benefit from a centre armrest, practical storage spaces, and four Type-C charging ports. A panoramic sunroof further enhances the premium feel.
Features and Safety
The new Renault Duster is equipped with modern features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, 64-colour ambient lighting, a powered tailgate, and a 6-speaker Arkamys sound system.
In terms of safety, it offers six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, all-wheel disc brakes, and a Level-2 ADAS suite.
Engine and Transmission Options
The 2026 Renault Duster is expected to be offered with multiple powertrain options:
- 1.0-litre turbo petrol – 100 PS and 160 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual.
- 1.3-litre turbo petrol with mild-hybrid – 163 PS and 280 Nm, available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed DCT.
- 1.8-litre strong hybrid (expected) – around 160 PS, paired with an 8-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission.
Expected Price and Competition
The new Renault Duster is expected to start from Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom). With bookings already underway for Rs 21,000, deliveries are likely to begin soon after the official launch.
Upon launch, the SUV will compete with models such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, and the upcoming Tata Sierra.
