Mahindra has officially launched the much-awaited XUV 7XO in India with an introductory starting price of Rs 13.66 lakh (ex-showroom). These prices are applicable to the first 40,000 units. Bookings for the new SUV will open on 14 January 2026, while deliveries for select variants will begin the same day and continue in phases till April 2026.
The Mahindra XUV 7XO is essentially the facelifted version of the popular XUV700 and becomes Mahindra’s second model to follow the brand’s updated naming strategy after the XUV 3XO. With refreshed styling, a feature-rich interior, and familiar yet capable powertrains, the XUV 7XO aims to strengthen Mahindra’s position in the premium mid-size SUV segment.
In terms of size, the Mahindra XUV 7XO remains unchanged compared to the XUV700. The SUV measures 4,695 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,755 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.
The facelift introduces subtle yet noticeable design upgrades inspired by Mahindra’s latest electric SUVs, including the XEV 9e and XEV 9S. Key highlights include boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, trapezoidal dual-pod LED projector headlights, a revised front grille with vertical slats inspired by the original XUV500, and updated tail lamps with a honeycomb pattern.
New 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels enhance the stance, while black roof rails add a sportier touch. At the rear, the clean tailgate design is retained, complemented by a blacked-out bumper and silver skid plate.
The Mahindra XUV 7XO is offered in seven colour options: Desert Myst, Everest White, Nebula Blue, Stealth Black, Ruby Velvet, Galaxy Grey, and Midnight Black.
Inside, the XUV 7XO adopts a premium cabin layout similar to the XEV 9S. The SUV features a new triple-tone interior theme in black, tan, and white. The main highlight is the triple-screen dashboard setup, comprising three 12.3-inch displays for infotainment, digital instrumentation, and the front passenger.
Additional updates include a new two-spoke steering wheel and a touch-based HVAC control panel. Unlike the XEV 9S, the XUV 7XO does not offer sliding second-row seats.
Feature highlights include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats for the front and middle rows, powered front seats with memory and Boss Mode, a powered tailgate, dual wireless chargers, dual-zone climate control, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos.
On the safety front, the XUV 7XO gets up to seven airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, Level-2 ADAS, and a 540-degree camera system with underbody view.
The Mahindra XUV 7XO continues with the same engine lineup as the outgoing XUV700. Petrol variants are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 200 PS and 380 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Diesel variants use a 2.2-litre turbocharged engine delivering up to 185 PS and 450 Nm of torque, available with both manual and automatic transmissions. The all-wheel-drive system remains exclusive to select top-end diesel automatic variants.
