2026 Tata Punch Facelift Spotted Testing: New Front Design, Production-Ready Look

The 2026 Tata Punch facelift has been spotted testing once again, this time revealing more details of its updated front-end design. Earlier test mules were seen around Pune showcasing the rear profile and overall silhouette, but the latest spyshots indicate that Tata Motors is now testing a more production-ready version of the Punch facelift.

Although the test vehicle remains heavily camouflaged, the visible design updates suggest that the launch of the refreshed Punch may not be too far away.

What Was Spotted in the Latest Spyshots?

The latest spy images of the 2026 Tata Punch facelift reveal noticeable changes to the front fascia. The compact SUV appears to feature a redesigned front bumper along with a revised grille that gets horizontal design elements. The LED DRLs now look slimmer, while the headlamps seem to be updated units similar to those offered on the Punch EV.

From the side, the Punch retains its familiar boxy silhouette and rugged stance. However, the test car is seen with newly designed 5-spoke alloy wheels. The chunky body cladding continues to remain unchanged.

One of the most notable upgrades spotted is the presence of a 360-degree camera system, which would be a first for the Punch. While the rear section wasn’t visible in this sighting, earlier spyshots have already revealed updated LED tail lamps and a mildly revised rear bumper.

Interior Expectations

The interior of the 2026 Tata Punch facelift is yet to be fully revealed. However, earlier test mules hint at a refreshed cabin layout. Expected updates include a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, and a revised dashboard design. Tata could also introduce additional features to improve comfort and technology inside the cabin.

Features & Safety

The facelifted Punch is expected to receive a few new convenience features, possibly including ventilated front seats in higher variants. It is likely to continue offering features such as automatic climate control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a factory-fitted sunroof, a height-adjustable driver seat, and a cooled glove box.

On the safety front, the 2026 Tata Punch is expected to receive a major upgrade with six airbags likely to be offered as standard across all variants. Other safety features should include ABS with EBD, a rear parking camera, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Powertrain Details

Mechanically, the Tata Punch facelift is expected to continue with the same powertrain options as the outgoing model.

Engine Power Torque Transmission
1.2-litre 3-cylinder Petrol 88 PS 115 Nm 5-speed MT, 5-speed AMT
1.2-litre 3-cylinder Petrol CNG 73.5 PS 103 Nm 5-speed MT

Expected Launch & Rivals

The Tata Punch facelift is expected to be launched sometime in 2026, with prices likely starting from around Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors has also announced plans to update the Punch EV.

Once launched, the facelifted Punch will rival the Hyundai Exter and Maruti Ignis. It will also act as an alternative to models like the Maruti Fronx, Toyota Taisor, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and Citroen C3.
