Kia Sonet 2026 Variant Update: Prices, Features & Automatic Options
The 2026 Kia Sonet has received a practical update aimed at making automatic variants more accessible to a wider range of buyers. Kia has introduced new lower-trim options for both diesel automatic and turbo-petrol DCT versions, significantly reducing the entry price for automatic ownership. Along with this change, the compact SUV also gets a bold new exterior shade called Magma Red.
Automatic Versions Now Start Lower
Earlier, buyers had to choose higher variants to get an automatic gearbox, particularly in the diesel lineup. With this update, Kia has extended these options to more affordable trims.
| Variant | Diesel AT | Turbo-Petrol DCT |
|---|---|---|
| HTE (O) | ₹9.78 lakh (New) | — |
| HTK (O) | ₹10.73 lakh (New) | ₹9.90 lakh (New) |

| HTK Plus (O) | ₹11.57 lakh (New) | ₹10.84 lakh (New) |
| HTX | ₹12.03 lakh | ₹11.60 lakh |
| GTX Plus | ₹14.00 lakh | ₹13.51 lakh |
| X-Line | — | ₹13.65 lakh |
All prices are ex-showroom, pan-India.
Previously, the diesel automatic was available only from the HTX variant priced at around ₹13.34 lakh. It now begins from the HTE (O) trim, reducing the entry cost by over ₹3.5 lakh. The turbo-petrol DCT is also now offered from the HTK (O) variant onward, making automatic ownership considerably more attainable.
New Exterior Colour: Magma Red
Kia has introduced a new paint option called Magma Red, adding a fresh and sporty look to the Sonet’s lineup. Existing colour choices continue, including Imperial Blue, Pewter Olive, Glacier White, Sparkling Silver, Aurora Black, and Gravity Grey. The Glacier White shade also remains available with a contrasting black roof.
